Earthbound simulates a fictional rocket flight. Flight state, chosen coordinates and controls run in your browser. Successful-flight best scores and their route coordinates can be saved in your browser’s local storage. Clear site data in your browser to remove them.

Basic scenery is bundled with the game. If you explicitly enable detailed scenery, your browser requests map tiles from Google Maps Platform. Google receives your network address, requested view areas and associated request information. Read Google’s Privacy Policy.

The optional game data service stores aggregate daily and monthly request counts to enforce usage limits. Its application code does not store searched addresses or individual flight histories. The hosting and mapping providers may retain network and operational logs according to their own policies; see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Address search, when configured by the operator, sends your entered query to Google. Search results remain in page memory and are not added to local score records. Selecting a search result keeps Google scenery active; losing that scenery clears the searched mission. Elevation estimates, when enabled and requested by you, send the two selected coordinates through the game data service to the Open Topo Data public API, using independent NASA/METI ASTER terrain data. The datum conversion runs locally with an NGA EGM96 grid. The application does not persist these lookups. There are no advertising scripts, analytics scripts, player accounts or shared leaderboards. If these features are introduced, this page will be updated before they are enabled.

Owner-console access tokens are sent only in authorization headers to the same-origin data service. This application does not intentionally save them in browser storage or URLs.
